HELENE BRANDT Goldsmith · Munich

Jewellery for a lifetime.

Workbench in morning light, tools and a half-finished gold ring in a clamp

The Atelier

A piece of jewellery is time, made solid. It takes shape slowly, in conversation, on paper, over the flame. We work with gold that has already lived a life, and with stones whose path we know. What leaves this atelier is meant to stay: on a hand, in a family.

One-of-a-kind

One drawing, one person, one piece.

Four hands of a couple at the workbench, forming two raw wedding band blanks

Wedding bands

Two rings, forged in a day, by your own hands.

An antique brooch lying next to a newly made ring on linen

Remade heirlooms

Your grandmother's gold, made new.

Conversation

Everything begins at the table, not at the bench. You tell us about the idea, the occasion, the hand that will wear the piece, and we listen.

Drawing

Pencil, paper, patience. Sketches travel back and forth until the shape feels as if it had always existed.

Making

Weeks later: flame, file, polish. A piece only leaves the bench once it feels as if it had always been finished.

Materials

We buy no new gold. Everything we melt down has already been a ring, a chain, a coin. Gold loses nothing when it turns liquid again. Our stones come from dealers we have known for years, whose routes we can trace.

This is not a programme, not a label. It is how you work when you intend to stay.

The Goldsmith

Helene Brandt learned her craft in Pforzheim and Munich. Since 2009 she has run her atelier in Munich's Lehel quarter: two workbenches, a window to the courtyard, a shelf of sketchbooks. Some pieces stay with her for decades: first an engagement ring, years later remade for a daughter.

The atelier is open, by appointment.

Come with an idea, a sketch, or an old piece. A first conversation takes an hour and costs nothing.
